Job Description
The position plays a crucial role in supporting on-site construction operations for school, hotel, and commercial building projects, focusing on new construction, renovations, and occupied facilities. This position assists in managing daily field activities, subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Responsibilities
- Support daily jobsite supervision and subcontractor coordination.
- Assist with new construction, renovation, and phased construction in occupied buildings.
- Help maintain short-term schedules and track production.
- Enforce site safety programs and conduct field inspections.
- Assist with quality control, punch lists, and inspections.
- Coordinate inspections, shutdowns, and after-hours work.
- Maintain daily reports, photos, and field documentation.
Essential Skills
- 3–7 years of commercial construction field experience.
- Experience with schools, hotels, or occupied commercial renovations.
- Ability to read plans, manage sequencing, and coordinate trades.
- OSHA training.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with summer school or hotel construction and renovations.
- Experience using computer systems.
- Flexibility to work 6 days a week and 10-hour shifts.
- Experience working on new construction and renovation.
- Experience with construction management, blueprint reading, and subcontractor management.
- Managing crews in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and exterior construction.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.
