Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Inspector sets up and monitors looms to ensure consistent, high-quality fabric production while maintaining optimal machine performance. This role maintains and repairs looms to approved maintenance standards, supports continuous improvement in the production environment, and helps ensure that quality and production targets are consistently achieved.
Responsibilities
- Set up and monitor all looms to ensure consistent fabric quality and optimal production performance.
- Inspect fabrics and production output to verify they meet established quality standards.
- Maintain and repair looms as needed in accordance with approved maintenance standards.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues on looms and related equipment.
- Train and develop technical skills within the production environment to help personnel achieve the best possible production targets.
- Support and coach production staff on proper machine operation and quality inspection practices.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure production plan targets are met.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety and Quality personnel to support effective performance of the quality system.
- Ensure effective communication of maintenance schedules and breakdowns with production technicians.
- Monitor and report trends in loom breakdowns or recurring issues to support preventive maintenance and process improvement.
- Use computer-controlled systems and tools to support quality inspection and production monitoring.
Essential Skills
- Experience in quality inspection or inspection roles within a production environment.
- Hands-on experience working in a production environment with machines or stitching.
- Proficiency in quality inspection processes and techniques.
- Experience using computer-controlled systems in a production or quality inspection setting.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to work effectively with machinery.
- Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical and process issues on looms.
- Ability to communicate clearly with production technicians, facilities, health and safety, and quality teams.
- Capability to train and develop others in technical and production-related skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred.
- Experience working with looms, textile machinery, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Background in stitching or textile production is an advantage.
- Familiarity with maintenance standards and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured quality system and follow established procedures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $41600.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
