Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for the success of assigned functions within a fast-paced and complex distribution center environment. - Build and maintain a productive, motivated, and positive workforce by fostering a culture of engagement, inclusion, and excellence.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to talent development by providing performance feedback, mentoring, and creating growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to proactively address business challenges and evolving trends.
- Analyze variances between forecasts and actual trends, adjusting plans accordingly to ensure operational readiness.
- Regularly review goals, plans, and strategies to maintain alignment with dynamic business needs, ensuring high performance across all distribution center (DC) functions.
- Establish clear goals, allocate resources, and implement effective controls to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), standards, budgets, and operational targets.
- Support operational excellence by ensuring adherence to divisional processes and procedures while identifying and eliminating inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that merchandise flow aligns with store needs, meeting or exceeding budgetary goals.
- AGM has oversight over multiple shifts and may need to adjust working hours for direction and guidance.
- Assist in overseeing facility operations to ensure that all equipment and infrastructure function optimally to support business demands.
- Champion safety by creating and maintaining an organized, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
- Lead and mentor the management team in identifying and executing process improvements using Lean principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Encourage innovation and foster a culture of problem-solving to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve team satisfaction.
- Model and reinforce the company's values, culture, and operational standards, ensuring alignment across all levels of the distribution center (DC).
- Act as a role model for professional behavior and ethical decision-making, fostering trust and accountability within the organization.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in a high-paced operational role, including but not limited to warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment center or supply chain management OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience in a high-paced operational role, including but not limited to warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment center or supply chain management.
- Experience owning quality and efficiency KPIs and scheduling a large workforce.
- Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional teams.
- Experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
- Experience managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting and distribution execution.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership.
- Business degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.
- At least 2 years of experience working with automated systems (RF technology, WMS, conveyor and sortation).
- At least 1 year of Lean experience in a manufacturing or Logistics environment.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels).
