Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role supports the manufacturing of irrigation tubing for agricultural customers by performing hands-on production, inspection, and packaging tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will work on your feet for most of the shift, handle finished pipe products, and help ensure that every coil meets quality and safety standards before shipment.
Responsibilities
- Coil drainage pipe immediately after it is manufactured, following established procedures to maintain consistent quality.
- Inspect each coil of pipe carefully to ensure there are no defects, kinks, or visible damage before it moves to the next stage.
- Wrap twine securely around pipe coils to keep them tight and stable for handling, storage, and transport.
- Use a knife safely and accurately to cut pipe to the required lengths and specifications.
- Operate and assist with production equipment and machinery as directed, following all safety and operational guidelines.
- Handle general labor tasks such as loading, packaging, and moving materials within the warehouse and production area.
- Use hand tools and power tools as needed to support assembly, production, and packaging activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Follow written and verbal instructions in English to complete daily production assignments and meet productivity goals.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to report issues, request assistance, and support smooth production flow.
Essential Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through speaking, reading, and writing to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Capability to stand and work on your feet for 810 hours per day on concrete surfaces.
- Willingness and physical ability to perform general labor tasks such as lifting, coiling, wrapping, cutting, loading, and packaging.
- Comfort working around production machinery, warehouse environments, and static electricity generated by the pipe.
- Basic experience in warehouse, production, assembly, general labor, or machine operation roles.
- Ability to use hand tools, including knives and other basic tools, in a safe and controlled manner.
- Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality to support continuous production operations.
- No formal education requirements; open to candidates with at least several months of relevant work experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
- Back ground in assembly, machine operation, or general labor roles.
- Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools in an industrial or construction setting.
- Experience with packaging, loading, and material handling tasks.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting products for defects or quality issues.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
- Comfort working rotating or fixed shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, or overnight hours.

Work Environment
This is a hands-on production and warehouse environment where you will be on your feet for 810 hours per day on concrete floors. The facility manufactures irrigation pipe, and the product can generate static electricity during handling. Work involves operating around production machinery, handling coils of pipe, and performing tasks such as coiling, wrapping, cutting, packaging, and loading. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes, jeans, and a shirt with no holes or profanity to support safety and professionalism. The operation runs multiple shifts, including 1st shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday), 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and 3rd shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., providing structured and predictable working hours in a production setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beresford, SD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.25 - $21.25/hr.
