Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. You will develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance process performance, including the design and implementation of new equipment, tools, or methodologies. Collaboration with production teams to troubleshoot process issues and conducting data analysis and statistical evaluations to optimize process parameters will be key responsibilities. You will also participate in the development of process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes for quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions for process performance enhancement.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
- Conduct data analysis and statistical evaluations to optimize process parameters.
- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds specifications.
- Participate in developing process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide technical support for production activities.
- Support new product development and scale-up activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects for operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Process Engineer.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Experience in process improvement, process engineering, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Six Sigma, project management, and Lean manufacturing.
- Ability to conduct time studies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant layout, and process flow.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret data, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Project management abilities including task prioritization and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of process optimization techniques and statistical analysis.
- Basic understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO standards.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience with CAD software.
Work Environment
This role is set in a manufacturing environment with a smaller engineering team. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work alongside a Junior Process Engineer. The company offers a close-knit engineering team atmosphere and opportunities for growth within an expanding company.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Clarksville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
