Patient Services Floater (2 hour Radius)
Locations: Cleveland, TN
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Patient Services Floater to support multiple clinic locations within a designated region. This role is ideal for an experienced phlebotomist who thrives in high-volume environments and is comfortable traveling between sites.
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $21–$24/hour
- Mileage Reimbursement: Yes
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Typical Hours:
- 8:00 AM – 5:00/5:30 PM or
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (varies by account)
- Schedules are typically known 1–2 weeks in advance, though short-notice assignments may occur due to call-outs.
- Candidates must be ready and willing to travel within the assigned region on short notice.
Transportation Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and drive own vehicle
- Must pass a 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check upon full-time hire
Dress Code
- Scrubs (lab coat and proper PPE required as applicable)
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and clients courteously and professionally
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections (urine, fecal, etc.) following established procedures
- Explain collection processes clearly to patients and help reduce anxiety
- Handle high-volume workloads (approximately 40–60 collections per day)
- Accurately collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and store specimens per test requirements
- Complete requisitions and data entry accurately using PathConnect and other laboratory systems
- Verify test orders, diagnosis codes, insurance, and billing information with clients
- Match specimens with lab requisitions and package specimens for transport
- Maintain daily logs, records, and required documentation
- Assist with monthly statistics, inventory counts, and reporting shortages
- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and preparing mail
- Approve timekeeping entries and submit travel/expense logs per company timelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and biohazard disposal standards
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with corporate compliance, privacy, and security policies

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
