This role focuses on commercial finish carpentry work in office spaces, including reading and interpreting blueprints, installing doors and hardware, and performing metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and drywall finishing. You will work independently while consistently delivering high-quality workmanship and adhering to strict safety standards on commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints accurately to plan and execute commercial carpentry tasks.
- Install doors and associated hardware with precise alignment and secure fastening.
- Perform metal stud framing for commercial office spaces, ensuring structural integrity and proper layout.
- Hang drywall on framed walls and ceilings in accordance with project specifications.
- Finish drywall, including taping, mudding, and sanding, to achieve smooth, paint-ready surfaces.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship across all tasks, meeting or exceeding project standards.
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members on commercial construction projects as needed.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment for carpentry, framing, and drywall work in a safe and effective manner.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a commercial carpenter.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for commercial construction projects.
- Strong skills in metal stud framing in commercial environments.
- Experience installing doors and hardware with attention to detail and proper function.
- Ability to hang drywall efficiently and to specification.
- Ability to finish drywall, including taping, mudding, and sanding, to a high-quality standard.
- Capability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
- Commitment to following safety standards and best practices on commercial job sites.
- Previous experience working on commercial office space construction or renovation projects.
- Ability to coordinate tasks with other construction professionals on site.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship in finish work.
- Reliable work habits and ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
