Job Description
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician performs routine and non‑routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a fleet of regional jet aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid technical expertise, and a consistent commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. You will read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documents, accurately complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies to keep aircraft safe, reliable, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Support heavy maintenance and C-check activities on regional jet aircraft as needed, including work on CRJ and ERJ platforms.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations on aircraft, including engines, power plants, and components, in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards.
- Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft systems such as hydraulic systems, de-icing systems, landing gear, and related components to identify leaks, cracks, distortions, foreign object damage, and other irregularities.
- Perform inspections during the assembly of parts and after repairs or component installations to verify proper fit, function, and compliance with specifications.
- Run diagnostic tests on aircraft systems, interpret the results, and implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies to clarify technical information, report status, and resolve maintenance issues.
Essential Skills
- A&P License (Airframe and Powerplant certification).
- 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience is preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong skills and potential.
Pay
- $30/hr-$38/hr
Shift
- 1st Shift: (approximately 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift: (approximately 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM)
- Schedules typically running Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday based on operational needs.
Work Environment
This role is based at an aircraft maintenance hangar complex at Smyrna Airport, approximately 20 miles from the Nashville, TN area. The work environment is a busy, hands-on hangar setting that can be dirty and is not climate controlled, so it will be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Technicians frequently walk outside between hangars and work in and around active aircraft and ground support equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
