Facilities Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Facilities/Building Engineer to join our team. This position involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities. You will ensure equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient and safe manner, minimizing downtime by anticipating necessary repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems equipment.
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior/exterior repair.
- Study and become familiar with equipment and methods required for daily activities.
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
- Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order status in real-time.
- Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
- Be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills
- Universal CFC recovery certification.
- Minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering, with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience utilizing CMMS Work Order systems.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
- Two years of trade school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
- High school diploma or GED.

Work Environment
This position is remote, involving daily travel in company vans to various client sites. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with some after-hours on-call responsibilities. The role is focused on providing excellent service across 100-150 sites, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
