Job Title: Robotics Technician / Deployment Operations Specialist
Role Overview
This role bridges customers, product, and engineering teams to ensure robotic systems deliver consistent value in real-world environments. You will lead deployments, testing, and daily operations at customer sites while helping build scalable processes for pilots and R&D in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead deployment and testing of robotic systems from concept through pilot
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to execute projects
- Support and train field operations staff
- Identify and resolve project issues, escalating as needed
- Manage lab inventory to support pilots and testing
- Oversee daily operations at customer sites to ensure system performance
- Track and report key metrics such as system health and task success
- Perform QA validation using test equipment and documentation
- Troubleshoot mechanical and robotic issues
- Support offsite deployments, including equipment handling when needed
- Develop standardized processes to scale pilots and R&D efforts
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and support various operational needs
Required Skills:
- 2+ years in testing environments with physical products or equipment
- Experience with QA validation and test equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with mechanical or robotic systems
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Comfortable in fast-paced, changing environments
- Familiarity with robotics or technical operations
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to work in varied environments and lift up to 40 lbs with assistance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, operations, or project management
- Background in customer site operations and performance reporting
- Experience with robotics in pilot or R&D settings
- Military or other structured environment experience
This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
