Are you a licensed electrician looking to work on critical power infrastructure? Join our team as a Substation Electrician and play a key role in installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting high- and medium-voltage electrical systems that keep communities and businesses powered.
š§ What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, and repair substation equipment and electrical systems up to 35kV.
- Troubleshoot transformers, relays, motors, generators, and control systems.
- Perform electrical testing using meters, meggers, and diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, grounding, switching, and PPE requirements.
- Support outages, emergency response, and service restoration activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience as a licensed electrician.
- Experience with medium- or high-voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
- Skilled with electrical testing tools and hand tools.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb, and work in physically demanding environments.
Preferred
- Substation, utility, or industrial electrical experience.
- Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, relays, and power distribution systems.
- Military electrical experience or commissioning experience.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsville, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $55.00/hr.
