Job Description
As an Assembler, you will engage in the assembly of components and finished goods, leveraging your experience in industrial environments such as aggregates, automotive manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing. You will interpret and follow complex work instructions, blueprints, and schematics with minimal supervision, and operate and maintain industrial equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly of components and finished goods using experience gained in industrial environments.
- Interpret and follow complex work instructions, blueprints, and schematics with minimal supervision.
- Operate and maintain industrial equipment, including power tools, presses, and assembly machinery.
- Apply knowledge of production workflows, cycle times, and lean manufacturing principles to meet daily output targets.
- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections, utilizing experience with quality standards.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues and escalate more complex problems as necessary.
- Maintain consistent adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process enhancements.
- Handle raw materials and finished products, including heavy components or materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and ensure product integrity.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Uphold housekeeping and organization standards (5S) for a safe and productive work environment.
- Proficiency in assembly, including the use of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Experience with various stages of the assembly line and simultaneous machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Minimum of 2 years' tenure at each company worked.
- Experience in machine operating, industrial general labor, ladder logic, press, and fabrication.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, mechanical assembly, and production processes.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large indoor building that is non-climate controlled, with large fans and air circulation. The facility includes large overhead cranes and features air-conditioned break areas, restrooms, and offices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Converse, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
