Job Title: Forklift Stand Up Reach Operator
Job Description
This role involves operating stand-up reach and sit-down forklifts in a cold storage facility to pick, pack, and move food products safely and efficiently. You will use RF scanner guns to locate, scan, and track inventory while performing heavy lifting and working on your feet for the entirety of each shift. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and flexibility to work varying hours on both day and night shifts as new lines of business roll out.
Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up reach and sit-down forklifts to move, load, and unload food products within a cold storage facility.
- Pick and pack food products accurately according to order requirements using RF scanner guns.
- Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify inventory locations and quantities in real time.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when picking, packing, and recording inventory.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products while remaining on your feet for the entirety of each shift.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures for working in a cold storage environment and operating forklifts.
- Support both first shift and night shift operations as needed, including extended hours on certain days.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and staging pallets for shipment or storage.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the cold storage room.
- Adapt to new lines of business and changing operational needs, including flexible scheduling and tasks.
Essential Skills
- Current certification to operate forklifts, including both sit-down and stand-up reach trucks.
- Hands-on experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Hands-on experience operating stand-up reach forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Proficiency using RF scanner guns for picking, packing, and inventory control.
- Experience with packaging and picking/packing operations in a distribution or warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and remain on your feet for the entirety of each shift.
- Comfort and readiness to work in extremely cold temperatures within a cold storage facility.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products and recording inventory.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including longer days and night shifts as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a cold storage room or refrigerated warehouse.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new processes, lines of business, and changing priorities.
- Strong reliability and punctuality for shift-based work.

Work Environment
This position is based in a cold storage room where you will work in extremely cold temperatures throughout your shift. You will operate stand-up reach and sit-down forklifts and use RF scanner guns in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role requires being on your feet for the entirety of each shift and performing heavy lifting as part of daily tasks. First shift typically runs Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with longer days of 10–12 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays and standard 8-hour days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Night shift typically runs Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Team members need to remain flexible with hours as new lines of business roll out and operational needs change.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
