Job Description
The Shipping Associate plays a key role in daily warehouse operations by accurately preparing, organizing, and dispatching customer and stock orders. Working under direct supervision, this position focuses on material handling, order assembly, and documentation within a fast-paced distribution environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in developing warehouse and shipping experience.
Responsibilities
- Generate shipping manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders in accordance with established procedures.
- Interpret warehouse documents to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage or processing locations.
- Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence or storage system.
- Prepare products for distribution within the facility, ensuring accuracy and readiness for the next stage in the process.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place completed orders on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping areas.
- Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products under direct supervision and within established guidelines.
- Arrange stock parts in specified sequences to support efficient assembly by other team members.
- Create and enter manifest records into the warehouse computer system with accurate and timely data entry.
- Perform general picking, packing, shipping, and auditing tasks as needed to support overall warehouse operations.
- Follow all safety procedures while working in narrow aisles with forklifts and hand carts operating nearby.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area and comply with all facility rules, including restrictions on personal electronics.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- 0–6 months of warehouse experience, or a strong interest in learning warehouse operations.
- Basic ability to interpret warehouse documents and follow written instructions.
- Comfort with performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing merchandise.
- Attention to detail when picking, packing, shipping, and auditing orders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with moving equipment and narrow aisles.
- Willingness to work the 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM shift on a consistent basis.
- No formal certifications required for hire.
- Willingness to obtain certification on CROWN trucks upon conversion to permanent employment.
- Previous experience in material handling, picking, packing, shipping, or auditing is helpful but not required.
- Comfort using basic warehouse computer systems for data entry and record creation.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic in a team-based environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move frequently in clearly defined, safety-conscious directions. The facility is non-climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The use of cell phones and personal electronics is not permitted on the warehouse floor to maintain safety and focus. Team members work around active material-handling equipment and are expected to follow all safety protocols at all times. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, supporting both safety and comfort during extended periods on your feet.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $13.00 - $13.00/hr.
