Job Description

We are seeking a Geotechnical Lab Technician who can work independently on projects in the lab. The role involves overseeing geotechnical testing and processes, with an opportunity to work on both field assignments and office testing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee geotechnical testing and processes in the lab
• Perform soil density and compaction tests
• Conduct concrete testing and analyze geotechnical data
• Write detailed reports on testing and analysis
• Utilize nuclear gauge for soil density testing
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards

Essential Skills

• Experience in geotechnical lab testing
• Knowledge of soil compaction and density testing
• Ability to perform concrete testing
• Proficiency in report writing
• Completion of a radiation safety course
• Familiarity with NICET certification (Soils, Concrete, Asphalt)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to entry-level candidates seeking a career in the geotechnical field
• SB101/102/103 certification
• NICET Level 1 certification in Soils, Concrete, Asphalt

Work Environment

You will be part of a smaller geotechnical department within a 20-person Construction Materials Testing (CMT) department. The team is very family-focused and celebrates their employees with events such as an annual Christmas party where gifts are given to employees and their families
