Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and following up on post charge-off and deficiency accounts for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) by coordinating with skip tracing and repossession vendors. Handles inbound calls to process payments, payoffs, and assist in securing vehicles, while evaluating and negotiating vendor settlement offers based on each customer’s financial situation.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain strong relationships with skip and repossession vendors to ensure compliance and performance standards are met, while coordinating strategies to resolve delinquent accounts. Locate customers and collateral using approved tools and databases, update demographic information, and support resolution of balances related to repossessions, insurance losses, and other account issues. Negotiate payment plans, vendor settlements, and coordinate with storage facilities, attorneys, and internal teams when needed. Review and approve vendor invoices, support legal processes such as replevin, and conduct audits to ensure vendor compliance and accuracy of operations.
Decision Making:
Daily decisions include approving vendor requests within authority limits and escalating issues when needed. Analyze customer and asset information to determine next steps for collections or repossession, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Key Interactions:
Work closely with vendors, internal departments, and supervisors on a daily basis to resolve accounts, ensure compliance, and reduce financial risk.
Qualifications:
Requires at least 2 years of experience in collections (preferably with skip tracing). Strong skills in customer service, outbound/inbound calls, accounts receivable, and auto collections are preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Details:
Handles approximately 10–15 calls per day and must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective in prioritizing tasks while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
