Job Title: Power Systems Engineer
Job Description
The Lead Engineer is responsible for reviewing and approving all engineering documentation prepared by the OPC or factories. The Lead Engineer shall adhere to the V-model methodology when executing this project.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Class and IEC requirements.
- Identify and define high-level block diagrams and interface requirements.
- Establish detailed system requirements.
- Review and validate equipment wiring diagrams.
- Analyze and approve function descriptions.
- Assess process flowcharts for accuracy and completeness.
- Review Protection relay Logic and configuration.
- Review Protection relay and other equipment Setting tables.
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Provide support during testing and commissioning phases.
- Review and finalize as-built drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure the preparation and approval of MDL, strictly following the PDC process.
- Arrange weekly meetings with the project team to address issues, risks, opportunities, and progress updates.
- Oversee and ensure that project planning and progress tracking are updated on a weekly basis.
Essential Skills
- 10+ years of power systems engineering experience.
- Experience with power system, ETAP, marine, and switchgear.
- Experience with Generator AVR.
- Experience with Medium Voltage Switchgears.
- Lead engineering experience - review all specs for Tension Switch, Connection Switchboards, System Integration, and Modification to existing the person.
- Electrical engineering, load calculation, and electrical system.

Work Environment
The position operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexible work-from-home options available. The role involves managing a team based in Europe from the USA. While the consultant can work remotely, there is a preference for candidates located in Houston, TX, or at the office in Orlando, FL. The majority of the management team will be in the USA. The position offers two weeks of paid time off and holiday benefits.
