Job Title: Ophthalmic Assistant


Job Description

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will document physician visits in the EMR system, assist with instruments as needed, perform work-ups after doctor visits with patients, and communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and treatments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1+ year of experience in ophthalmology (preferably retina) or BS/AS in a life science
  • Experience working with 30+ patients per day
  • Ophthalmic experience preferred
  • Bilingual (nice to have)
  • Multi-tasking
  • High volume of patient care
  • Driven/'Type A' personality

Work Environment

This position requires travel to various clinics within the Greater San Antonio/San Antonio area, excluding Schertz. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on clinic needs. Travel time will be compensated at the hourly rate. Opportunities for career progression into the clinical research department are available, with the potential to work alongside a prestigious research team. Additionally, $500 is provided annually for continued education.
