About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of a large hospital campus in Temple, TX. You will ensure the optimal functioning, safety, and aesthetic upkeep of our hospital facility and its critical systems. This role is essential in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors, supporting continuous healthcare operations.
The position also entails monitoring and maintaining other building systems during the 1st shift, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and professional, capable of managing complex systems and interacting directly with clients. This position is open to training entry-level individuals with some experience that demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to learning.

What You'll Do:
- Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on a diverse range of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other essential hospital infrastructure.
- Execute general plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains, repairing leaks, and replacing valves.
- Conduct general electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting and resetting breakers.
- Address general facility maintenance and upkeep tasks, including changing light fixtures, painting, patching, and replacing ceiling tiles.
- Inspect equipment and facility installations to identify potential issues, diagnose problems, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to assigned work orders and emergency maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution to minimize operational disruptions.
- Track the completion of assigned work orders using established systems.
- Assist with the installation and modification of new building equipment and systems.
- Contribute to energy management efforts by monitoring and ensuring the efficient operation of all building systems.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
- Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a hospital or similar institutional setting.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques across plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
