Overview
We are seeking
a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands‑on IT support at a large,
manufacturing and refinery location in the Houston area. This role supports end
users across desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices while delivering
excellent customer service in a fast‑paced industrial environment. The ideal
candidate has strong desktop support fundamentals, experience in enterprise IT
environments, and is comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing setting with
required safety protocols.
This is a long‑term
contract opportunity with strong potential for full‑time conversion.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desktop and end‑user IT support for employees in a manufacturing/refinery environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and mobile device issues
- Support walk‑up users and ticket‑based requests
- Assist with device imaging, deployment, and refresh initiatives
- Maintain accurate inventory and follow corporate IT standards
- Serve as smart hands for network and infrastructure teams when needed
- Communicate effectively with users, teammates, and business partners
- Follow all safety requirements and procedures while working onsite
Work Environment & Schedule
- Fully onsite role at a 24/7 refinery location
- Standard business hours (7–4 or 8–5) with team coverage
- Occasional off‑hours support may be required
- Must be willing to wear PPE and comply with all safety training and protocols
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of desktop or end‑user IT support experience
- Experience supporting users in a corporate or enterprise environment
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work onsite in an industrial/manufacturing setting

This is a Contract position based out of Texas City, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
