Job Title: Skilled Laborer
Job Description
This role involves performing a wide range of construction and general labor tasks in a structural plant environment, with a strong focus on concrete work and supporting production operations. You will contribute to the manufacturing of precast concrete products, assist machine operators, and handle physically demanding duties that require consistent heavy lifting and safe use of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction labor tasks related to precast concrete pipe and structures in a structural plant environment.
- Carry out concrete labor activities, including preparing, placing, and finishing concrete as directed.
- Assist machine operators throughout the production process to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Operate machines and equipment as trained and directed, following all safety and operational procedures.
- Handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks on a regular basis to support production and construction activities.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for carpentry, concrete, and general labor work.
- Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other basic measuring tools.
- Perform general labor duties such as cleaning work areas, organizing materials, and maintaining a safe and orderly job site.
- Support carpentry-related tasks, including basic formwork and structural preparation for concrete.
- Assist with landscaping and site preparation tasks as needed to support overall construction operations.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to complete daily assignments and meet production goals.
- Follow all safety guidelines, plant rules, and instructions from supervisors and machine operators.
Essential Skills
- Experience in construction labor, particularly in a structural plant or similar environment.
- Hands-on experience with concrete work, including mixing, placing, and basic finishing.
- Experience in general labor roles that involve physically demanding tasks and heavy lifting.
- Ability to safely operate and assist with machines used in a production or construction setting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and basic carpentry tools.
- Proficiency in using power tools, including saws, drills, and other construction-related equipment.
- Basic carpentry skills to support formwork and structural preparation for concrete.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for cutting and measuring materials.
- Capacity to perform repetitive physical tasks and work on your feet throughout the shift.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow directions and work effectively with others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or outdoor labor-intensive work.
- Prior experience working with precast concrete products or in a concrete production facility.
- Familiarity with structural plant operations and production processes.
- Willingness to learn machine operation and develop skills in heavy equipment operation over time.
- Interest in building a long-term career in the construction and concrete industry.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
