In this position, you'll work closely with production, quality, and operations teams to inspect products, identify improvement opportunities, investigate quality concerns, and help drive manufacturing excellence. What You'll Do
As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for ensuring products and processes consistently meet established quality standards through a variety of inspection and compliance activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections on finished and packaged products.
- Conduct AQL sampling and packaging process audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Identify, document, and help contain non-conforming materials.
- Generate daily quality reports and maintain visual management boards.
- Partner with production teams to investigate quality concerns and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and execute First Production Release (FPR) activities for new or modified products.
- Collect, verify, document, and ship product samples to required stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and system updates using SharePoint and other platforms.
- Follow up on quality findings and corrective actions resulting from audits and inspections.
- Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives within the production environment.
- Participate in incident investigations and emergency response activities as needed.
- Assist with training and coaching team members on quality standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, compliance, and overall product quality.
- Support 5S initiatives and maintain a clean, organized, audit-ready work environment.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a dependable, detail-focused professional who takes pride in identifying issues, improving processes, and maintaining high standards.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Minimum of 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing visual inspections and quality audits.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection processes, and non-conformance management.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, specifications, and quality procedures.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or QEHS-related roles.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Technical certification or Associate Degree in a related field.
- Experience supporting audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to meet vision and color differentiation requirements for inspection activities.
This is a Contract position based out of Colonial Heights, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.73 - $29.40/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
