ENTRY LEVEL MANUFACTURING EXTRA HAND/LABORER POSITIONS
PCA - Riverville Mill, a major producer of containerboard, is seeking applications for our Extra Hand/Laborer positions. The Extra Board is an entry-level position in which individuals are trained in different jobs in the Mill to cover vacancies. Extra Board colleagues work an unpredictable 12-hour shift schedule (days, nights, and weekends) which varies from week to week with little consistency.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a High School or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Must be able to work entry-level jobs and be able to work in an industrial environment.
- Must be willing and able to work an unpredictable 12-hour shift schedule which includes: days, nights, and weekends that can change with very little notice.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime and work on most holidays.
- Experience in industrial work such as manufacturing, logging, warehousing, heavy equipment operation, or construction.
- Satisfactory completion of background check and drug screen.
- Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
- Carry out routine activities that produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
- Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
- Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Follow safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machinery.
- Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Pulp & Paper industry experience preferred.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, equipment or process operations and equivalent skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Those selected to go through the PCA hiring process will be asked to complete the WorkKeys Test at CVCC and take part in a structured board interview. A minimum test result score is required.
