Plumber – Temporary Water & Waste Systems
💰 $34–$42/hour + Benefits
Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Plumber to install and maintain temporary water and waste systems supporting active construction sites—primarily large-scale projects like data centers.
This role is ideal for someone with strong field experience who can work independently, read plans, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable temporary utility systems that keep projects moving.
What You’ll Do
- Install and configure temporary water lines per project specs and safety standards
- Set up temporary waste systems, including pump- and tank-based setups
- Read and interpret site plans, grade levels, blueprints, and layout drawings
- Calculate and set proper slope for gravity waste lines (⅛"–¼" per foot)
- Design and install systems based on flow rates, pressure needs, and pump curves
- Work with materials including PVC, ABS, PEX, flexible hose, and industrial fittings
- Operate tools and equipment such as trenching tools, levels, skid steers, and mini-excavators
- Install and maintain temporary utilities for jobsite trailers and portable sanitation systems
- Troubleshoot and repair systems to ensure continuous operation on active jobsites
- Coordinate with other trades and construction teams on installation timelines
- Follow all jobsite safety protocols, especially on large-scale and data center projects
What You Bring
- Hands-on plumbing experience in construction environments
- Experience installing temporary water and/or waste systems
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and manufacturer specs
- Strong understanding of:
- Drainage slope and system layout
- Pump systems, pressure, and flow rates
- Experience with common piping materials and fittings
- Comfortable using construction equipment and trenching tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in fast-paced, changing jobsite conditions
Preferred Experience
- Work on large construction projects (data centers a plus)
- Experience with pump- or tank-based systems
- Experience supporting temporary jobsite utilities

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas Park, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.00/hr.
