The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating a smooth and friendly environment during patient visits, supporting the dermatologist in the room and ensuring efficient interactions with patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities- Accompany the dermatologist during patient visits and document vital information.
- Scribe information for the dermatologist and provide post-operative instructions to patients.
- Perform duties such as drawing blood and suture removal.
- Clean and stock exam rooms to maintain a sterile environment.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently to optimize clinic operations.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors.
- Experience in surgical, dermatology, or urgent care settings is preferred.
- Customer service skills, especially in fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The role operates Monday through Friday from 6:45 am to 3:30 pm in a fast-paced environment that handles approximately 65 patients per day.
