The Service Technician I plays a vital role in supporting the repair, testing, and maintenance of specialized equipment used in medical environments. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing technical issues, completing necessary repairs, documenting service activities, and collaborating closely with customers and internal teams to ensure devices are returned to optimal working condition. The role demands attention to detail, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to meeting quality and productivity standards.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair designated products.
- Perform electronic component replacement, soldering, and functional testing as needed.
- Communicate with customers to gather information related to service and repair requests.
- Accurately complete repair records, service documentation, and other required paperwork.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and pricing guidelines throughout the repair process.
- Maintain an organized and safe workspace while properly caring for tools and equipment.
- Support additional service-related tasks and projects as assigned by leadership.
- Basic understanding of electronic systems, circuits, and components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and repair documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Comfortable utilizing Microsoft Office, databases, and computer-based systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to learn new products, technologies, and processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or certification in electronics, electrical technology, or a related discipline preferred.
- Prior experience repairing electronics, medical devices, industrial equipment, or similar products is beneficial but not required.

Work EnvironmentPrimarily works in a repair and service environment with frequent computer use. May require lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds. Position may involve occasional travel based on business needs. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary. The work environment is primarily within a manufacturing setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kennewick, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $62400.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
