The Experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role supports production uptime through preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, equipment reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Repair conveyors, mixers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and production equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Document maintenance activities in a CMMS or work order system.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects.
- Maintain compliance with safety, LOTO, and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with production personnel to improve equipment reliability.
- 2-3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment with minimal supervision.
- Hands-on experience with motors, conveyors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Experience using maintenance management systems and work orders.
- Technical school, apprenticeship, or trade certification.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- PLC and VFD troubleshooting experience.
- Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift certification.
- Predictive maintenance and reliability experience.

Work EnvironmentThis position is set in a very heavy industrial outdoor environment with large, dirty machinery. The facility is loud, and employees will wear coveralls and get dirty. The environment features dust and dirt in the air, forklifts moving throughout the facilities, and the constant loud hum of machines that feed bags with different materials. The role requires candidates to spend time both indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the elements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
