Job Description
Join our dynamic Scenario Testing Lab where you will work with cutting-edge hardware at various stages of development. Your role will involve measuring power usage by running simulations that mimic real user activities, such as streaming videos or using applications, to obtain accurate battery capacity metrics. This position primarily focuses on executing tests, setting up configurations, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting any errors. You will also engage in triaging and debugging issues within the testing framework or the products being tested. As new features are introduced, there will be opportunities to develop both manual and automated test cases.
Responsibilities
- Execute automated and manual test cases and analyze data for accuracy.
- Set up and configure test environments and run tests to gather data.
- Report errors and identify anomalies by comparing data against trends and expectations.
- Triage and debug issues in both the testing framework and the products.
- Develop and enhance existing test cases and infrastructure using Python and Selenium.
- Interact with hardware and software to ensure accurate power measurements.
- Write concise and effective defect reports and follow established testing protocols.
- 3-8 years of experience in executing test cases and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, Selenium, and debugging tools such as CMD, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including black box and white box testing.
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to calculate mean, mode, median, and standard deviation.
- Experience in application testing and troubleshooting across various operating systems.
- Understanding of hardware interactions, including imaging devices and device management.
- Knowledge of voltage, current, power, and resistance measurements using DMMs or oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with internal tools such as TFS Ticketing system, Office 365, WTT, & MS Teams.
Work in a collaborative, communal environment within our hardware campus, comprising shared offices and labs. As part of a team of 12, you will engage with engineers and utilize a ticketing system to manage testing tasks. Adherence to lab safety procedures is essential, and a strong commitment to maintaining the secrecy and security of products is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
