Job Description
Join a dynamic team providing new truck bodies and repairing and painting trucks and other large equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality standards in vehicle repair and refurbishment.
Responsibilities
- Assess damage by inspecting vehicles to identify issues such as dents, scratches, and structural problems.
- Develop repair plans considering safety, aesthetics, and functionality.
- Perform essential welding and metal fabrication to repair damaged parts.
- Repair or replace damaged body panels, fenders, bumpers, and other exterior components.
- Ensure repairs meet safety standards and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and materials used.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly STICK welding with steel.
- Meticulous attention to detail in assessing damage and achieving precise repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to bend and stand for extended periods.
- Experience with auto body work, power tools, and mechanical tasks.
- Preferred welding experience, though not mandatory.
- Preferred experience with autobody, bondo, and fiberglass.
- Mechanical inclination is a must.
- Ownership of personal tools is required.
- Experience diagnosing problems and replacing parts is beneficial.

Work Environment
Work in a huge, bustling shop where the day shift runs from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. While the workload is substantial, the environment is supportive, and teamwork is highly valued. Occasionally, work outside may be needed if the shop is extremely busy.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
