Job Description
This role serves as a sourcing-focused recruiter within a global recruiting organization that supports Amazon Web Services (AWS). The recruiter drives candidate generation strategies in close partnership with hiring teams and recruiting peers, focusing on go-to-market (GTM) roles. The position offers high visibility and the opportunity to make a direct impact on the business by attracting smart, innovative talent while delivering a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring teams to design and execute effective sourcing strategies that align with business needs for AWS go-to-market roles.
- Develop and implement robust assessment and closing approaches, ensuring clear communication of expectations and timelines to stakeholders.
- Manage customer and partner expectations by clearly articulating return on investment for sourcing and recruiting strategies.
- Recruit and engage passive candidates, assessing their fit, motivation, and long-term potential rather than simply selling a role.
- Build, expand, and maintain a strong network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with potential candidates, consistently demonstrating the ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences and achieve high interview-to-offer ratios.
- Screen and interview candidates within the framework of detailed position specifications, ensuring alignment with role requirements and leadership principles.
- Prepare and present an ideal slate of qualified candidates to hiring managers within appropriate and consistent timelines.
- Leverage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and reporting tools to track pipeline activity, measure performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with recruiting peers and business partners to share market insights, refine search strategies, and continuously improve recruiting processes.
- Uphold and promote leadership principles such as delivering results, being customer obsessed, and earning trust throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
Essential Skills
- 3–5 years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on corporate staffing rather than solely agency or high-volume staffing environments.
- Proven experience sourcing candidates using Boolean search techniques across various platforms and databases.
- Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and related recruiting technologies.
- Experience generating and interpreting recruiting reports and metrics to track pipeline health and performance against KPIs.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to craft clear candidate outreach, updates, and administrative documentation.
- Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, and technical recruiting, particularly for go-to-market and sales-related roles.
- Ability to assess candidate fit and motivation through structured interviews and behavioral questions.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results by meeting or exceeding hiring goals and timelines.
- Customer-obsessed mindset, with a focus on providing an excellent experience to both hiring managers and candidates.
- Ability to earn trust quickly with business leaders, peers, and candidates through transparent communication and reliable follow-through.
- Executive-level presence, with the confidence and professionalism to interact with senior stakeholders and leadership.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Go-to-market recruiting experience, particularly supporting sales and related commercial roles.
- Experience filling sales roles and partnering closely with sales leadership teams.
- Prior experience working in a corporate recruiting environment, as opposed to exclusively agency or high-volume staffing.
- Familiarity with reporting on recruiting KPIs and using data to refine sourcing strategies.
- Strong administrative skills, including managing candidate pipelines, interview logistics, and documentation.
- Ability to work within and promote leadership principles such as delivering results, being customer obsessed, and earning trust.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or cloud services environment.
- No formal degree or certification requirement; candidates from diverse educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
