Additive Manufacturing Prototype Equipment Tool Technician

Job Description Summary

This role will focus on the post-processing of SLS Selective Laser Sintering parts ensuring high-quality finishes and functional performance. You will be responsible for cleaning sanding priming and finishing SLS components to meet customer specifications and engineering requirements. Additional responsibilities include operating and maintaining SLS equipment preparing build files and collaborating with customers on design for additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Post-process SLS parts including support removal surface smoothing and final finishing.

- Apply manual and machine finishing techniques including sanding bead blasting and polishing to achieve desired part aesthetics and functionality.

- Utilize adhesives primers and coatings to enhance part durability and appearance.

- Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment including SLA SLS PolyJet FDM and DMLS systems.

- Develop and document post-processing workflows for SLS and other additive technologies.

- Work directly with customers to optimize designs for manufacturability and post-processing efficiency.

Basic Qualifications Required Skills/Experience

- Additive Manufacturing experience

- Design experience prototyping and part design

- Experience with spray painting and finishing models or assemblies

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced RD environment

- Ability to collaborate with both our team and our customers

- Focus on customer needs and ability to work directly with customers towards goals

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience acquired through advanced education - Technical Associate Degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience e.g. Bachelor 3 years' related work experience etc..

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.
