Job Description
This role focuses on customizing heavy-duty belts and rubber components to meet customer specifications, both in-house and at customer sites. You will perform a wide range of hands-on tasks, from fabrication and installation to troubleshooting and production support. The position offers extensive ongoing training, regular feedback, and strong support to help you achieve both organizational and personal goals. Your contributions, whether working independently or as part of a team, will directly influence customer satisfaction and overall business performance.
Responsibilities
- Customize heavy-duty belts and rubber components according to detailed customer specifications.
- Perform general labor tasks related to belt fabrication, assembly, and production activities.
- Install belts and related rubber components at customer sites and within the shop environment.
- Use hand tools and shop tools safely and effectively to cut, assemble, and finish products.
- Troubleshoot issues with belt systems and related equipment to identify and resolve problems.
- Support production operations by assisting with assembly, fabrication, and quality checks.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing products for shipment and verifying incoming materials.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to complete jobs accurately and on schedule.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in the shop and at customer locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers to understand requirements and provide status updates.
- Apply basic math skills to measure, cut, and verify dimensions during fabrication and installation work.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in field service work, maintenance, or other hands-on work.
- Strong mechanical background with the ability to understand and work with mechanical systems.
- General labor experience, including fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, production, and assembly.
- Experience using hand tools and shop tools safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills to perform measurements and calculations for fabrication and installation tasks.
- Basic computer skills for documentation, communication, and job tracking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the use of proper English and grammar.
- Organization and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely.
- Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces as required by job assignments.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including handling, packaging, and verification of materials.

- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a Permanent position based out of Appleton, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
