Job Title: Mechanical Engineer


Job Description

Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Inventor and SolidWorks. Perform engineering calculations, stress analyses, and tolerance stack-ups to ensure component reliability and manufacturability. Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and cost efficiency. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues in production and field applications, recommending solutions and corrective actions. Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, and test reports.


Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Inventor and SolidWorks.
  • Perform engineering calculations, stress analyses, and tolerance stack-ups.
  • Ensure component reliability and manufacturability.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance product performance and cost efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues in production and field applications.
  • Recommend solutions and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, and test reports.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Inventor preferred)
  • Familiarity with GD&T, FEA, and engineering analysis tools
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with Epicor ERP systems is preferred

Work Environment

Work involves using advanced CAD software like Inventor and SolidWorks. The role requires participation in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. The work environment emphasizes enhancing product performance and cost efficiency, identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and maintaining detailed engineering documentation. The position involves a mix of office and production floor activities, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
