Job Description
As a Blender, you will work under the guidance of the Lead and Supervisor to produce various food ingredients. You will learn good manufacturing practices and how to follow standardized formulas for weighing, measuring, and mixing raw materials. This role involves setting up and controlling processes such as blending, drying, bulk fermentation, extraction, and filtration. You will also be responsible for completing appropriate documentation and operating process and utility equipment safely and hygienically in accordance with all process procedures, cGMP, HAACP, and SHE instructions and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and monitor instruments such as pH meters, temperature meters, conductivity meters, thermometers, and metal detection devices.
- Tear down, clean, and reassemble equipment such as pumps, mills, grinders, and valves.
- Clean utensils, vessels, and lines.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and respond to deviations in process, product, equipment, and performance variations.
- Utilize SAP to complete timely and accurate transactions, maintaining process information sheets.
- Set up recipes and/or standard operating procedures, execute operations in mixing, pH adjustment, transfers, and process sequences while documenting steps and other records.
- Track and maintain inventory levels to ensure traceability.
- Identify and take appropriate action for variations in raw materials, foreign debris, color changes, smell, moisture, and temperature variations.
- Take samples for QA analysis.
- Perform minor maintenance work on equipment to ensure continuous operation of the process.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules.
- Write work instructions for work performed in the manufacturing environment.
- 1+ years of GMP experience in a Food & Beverage Manufacturer or Chemical Blending environment.
- Proficiency in GMP, mixing, blending, and food safety protocols.
- Computer proficiency.
- Mechanical aptitude.
The role is based in a manufacturing facility with an aseptic/sterile environment. You will work in a team environment with a high level of accountability. Training will occur during the day shift for approximately 1-5 weeks before transitioning to a permanent shift. The permanent shift is the third shift, running from Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This opportunity offers internal advancement opportunities and education reimbursement, fostering a strong team culture.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
