Job Title: QA Lab Technician


Job Description

The QA Lab Technician is responsible for working in a fast-paced environment and will be performing a variety of analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, and other wet chemistry methods. The individual in this role will follow standard operating procedures, analyze incoming chemicals and materials, evaluate blends in in-process and finished products, enter data into the computer, and analyze line and tank flushes. Additionally, the technician will calibrate instruments, coordinate testing to ensure the timely flow of production, prepare lab samples, and obtain re-samples when necessary.


Responsibilities

  • Perform HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, and other wet chemistry techniques.
  • Follow standard operating procedures diligently.
  • Analyze incoming chemicals and materials.
  • Evaluate blends in in-process and finished products.
  • Enter data accurately into the computer system.
  • Analyze line and tank flushes as required.
  • Calibrate laboratory instruments regularly.
  • Coordinate testing to ensure the timely flow of production.
  • Prepare lab samples and obtain re-samples when necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, and wet chemistry techniques.
  • 1+ years of laboratory experience.
  • High School Diploma; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in chemistry and chemical testing.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.

Work Environment

The position is based in a laboratory environment requiring adherence to safety precautions and the use of proper PPE, which will be provided. The role involves standing 75% of the time, sitting 25%, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. The work schedule is 1st shift, from 5 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday.
