Job Title: Heavy Assembler III
Job Description
The Heavy Assembler III works as part of a small team to build large industrial radiators, some as large as a semi-trailer, for use in warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. This role involves assembling radiator components in multiple assembly areas, using hand and power tools, operating overhead cranes, and performing leak tests to ensure product quality. The position requires strong mechanical assembly experience, comfort working at heights, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements accurately.
Responsibilities
- Assemble large industrial radiators and radiator components in teams of 1–3, following established procedures and work instructions.
- Use hand and power tools to secure and fasten parts, ensuring all assemblies meet quality and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and measurements to correctly position and install components.
- Operate an overhead crane to safely lift, move, and position heavy parts and assemblies.
- Climb onto radiators using ladders or scissor lifts to perform assembly work at height as needed.
- Work across up to seven different assembly areas that build either individual parts or complete radiators.
- Perform leak tests on completed radiators to verify integrity and identify any issues requiring rework.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop safety rules and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and the Assembly Supervisor to meet production schedules and quality targets.
- Inspect assembled components for defects or deviations and report issues promptly for correction.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 years of mechanical assembly experience.
- At least 6 years of experience using power tools in an industrial or mechanical setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiency with tape measure reading and accurate measurement.
- Experience operating an overhead crane to move heavy components.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical assembly processes.
- Minimum of 18 months of continuous tenure with one employer within the past 5 years.
- Ability to work safely at heights using ladders or scissor lifts.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience assembling large industrial equipment or radiators.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate builds and successful leak testing.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures consistently.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to work in small assembly teams.

Work Environment
This role is based in an assembly and fabrication shop focused on building industrial radiators for warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. The facility is clean and organized but not temperature controlled, so it can become hot during the summer months. The position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Work involves frequent use of hand and power tools, overhead cranes, ladders, and scissor lifts, as well as working on and around large, heavy equipment. The Heavy Assembler III reports to the Assembly Supervisor and works closely with a small team in a production-focused environment that is expanding its work in radiators for data centers.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
