Lab Prep Technician - 2nd shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Prep Technician to join our team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation staff by labeling containers, washing glassware, and transporting samples to their designated locations. Initially, you will assist with these tasks, but based on your performance, there are opportunities for cross-training and advancement. This role requires you to be on your feet all day and demands high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Labeling and storing samples
• Reducing samples to powder or liquid form using liquid nitrogen
• Using a 5lb hammer to grind samples
• Maintaining strong documentation and following company regulations
• Standing for the majority of the day (90%+)
• Flexibility to work an average of 5 hours of overtime per week based on workload

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma with 1-2 years of experience in a repetitive work environment
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
• Experience working under GLP regulations
• Experience in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or environmental science (preferred)

Work Environment

2nd shift

You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced prep lab where the environment is loud due to the pounding of hammers. This role is based in a brand-new facility in Madison, WI. The lab is focused on testing food and dietary supplements for nutritional value. The prep lab has experienced a 20% increase in test production due to internal changes, leading to more promotional opportunities.
