Job Title: BioA Analyst


Job Description

As a Chemist, you will be responsible for conducting biological extractions on samples such as urine, blood, and plasma. Initially, your focus will be on wet lab extractions, transitioning to LC-MS techniques after six months. You will also engage in liquid handling using robotics, and operate laboratory equipment including balances, pH meters, and pipettes. The role utilizes eWorkbook software, with each chemist equipped with a tablet to streamline processes.


Responsibilities

  • Perform biological extractions on various samples.
  • Transition from wet lab extractions to LC-MS techniques after six months.
  • Run robotics for liquid handling.
  • Operate lab equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes.
  • Utilize eWorkbook software for efficient laboratory management.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related Life Science field.
  • At least one year of academic or undergraduate research experience in chemistry involving pipetting and solution preparation.
  • 1-2 years of industry chemistry lab experience in a GMP environment with HPLC or LC-MS instrumentation.
  • Experience in HPLC or LC-MS or Mass Spec.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • GLP experience is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in food service, bartending, or client-facing roles is helpful.
  • Multitasking capabilities.

Work Environment

The position is within a lab setting as part of the Bioanalytical team, which comprises approximately 100 employees. The role is primarily lab-focused, providing a structured environment with established tests and protocols. The team values individuals who take ownership of their work, recognize errors, and implement changes for improvement.
