Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Automation Tech to join our dynamic team. This role involves troubleshooting and programming PLCs, with a preference for experience with Allen Bradley systems. The successful candidate will have the ability to address high-level electrical problems on industrial production equipment and participate in managing various facilities and equipment-related projects and installations.


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and program PLCs, preferably Allen Bradley systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve high-level electrical problems on industrial production equipment.
  • Assist in managing facilities and equipment projects and installations.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist the maintenance team with routine equipment maintenance, including preventive maintenance on food production equipment.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance and operations department to schedule repairs and installations for key production lines and equipment.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting and programming PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical theory and systems.
  • Ability to conduct electrical installations and preventive maintenance.
  • Mechanical proficiency in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, and conveying systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with commissioning, automation, robotics, and controls engineering.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell and automation systems.
  • Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and programming.

Work Environment

The work involves commissioning new lines and troubleshooting PLCs. The facility has a distinctive aroma of spices, so candidates should not have any food allergies or sensitivities. The company offers a supportive work culture with hot lunches available for $3 each day.
