Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of complex mechanical and electrical equipment by performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance. This role requires a strong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues using electrical schematics, blueprints, OEM manuals, and root cause analysis to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
Can Pay up to $35-40 an hour depending on shift and experience
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex mechanical and electrical machinery using electrical schematics, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
- Perform detailed troubleshooting on equipment, including PLC troubleshooting, to quickly identify and resolve faults.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment issues to improve reliability and maximize uptime.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and pre-established guidelines to perform maintenance tasks safely and accurately.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage equipment history.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime and extend the life of machinery and equipment.
- Operate a variety of machinery, small hand tools, and precision measuring devices to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
- Apply knowledge of industrial equipment, PLCs, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support production operations.
- Follow strict safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members, remaining approachable and responsive to maintenance requests and production needs.
- Rely on instructions and established procedures while exercising sound judgment to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Essential Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience with the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex machinery.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial equipment, including PLC troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
- Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA) to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and systems, including PLCs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order and maintenance tracking.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- High level of work commitment, quality-driven mindset, and strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Approachable and collaborative working style to support all team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field, including at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Preference for candidates with Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent experience in machinery installation, maintenance, alignment, and preventive maintenance.
- Preference for maintenance technicians with manufacturing experience, including production tooling optimization for dies, molds, and fixtures.
- Experience with manual machining, TIG welding, and MIG welding.
- Ability to perform precision measurement using appropriate instruments and devices.
- Ability to operate a variety of machinery, small hand tools, and precision measuring devices.
- Comfort working with instructions and pre-established guidelines while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Work Environment

Work is guided by detailed schematics, blueprints, OEM manuals, and established safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
