Job Title: Parts Hanger
Job Description
The Parts Hanger supports the painting department by preparing, handling, and organizing parts before they move through the finishing process. This entry-level role focuses on washing, hanging, and staging components while maintaining a clean and safe work area and assisting the grinding department as needed.
Responsibilities
- Power wash parts to prepare them for painting and finishing.
- Hang and place parts securely on racks in preparation for painting or powder coating.
- Empty baskets of parts and put parts away in the correct locations to keep work areas organized.
- Chip hooks and racks as needed to remove buildup and ensure proper function and cleanliness.
- Keep the floor free of water and debris to maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
- Inspect equipment and parts for any areas that were missed during grinding and communicate or correct as needed.
- Assist in the grinding department as needed, supporting overall production flow.
- Follow safety procedures when using hand and power tools and working around paint preparation and blasting equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the painting and grinding teams to meet production and quality expectations.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
- At least 1 year of experience utilizing hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of paint preparation, sanding, or general labor tasks in a production environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
- Attention to detail when inspecting parts and equipment prior to painting or grinding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Painting experience, including paint prep or working in a paint booth, is a plus.
- Exposure to powder coating, blasting, or sandblasting processes is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as powder coating, assembly, or welding.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in attendance and performance.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility that builds fitness equipment from the ground up. The company is in the process of remodeling and upgrading the facility, creating an improving and modernizing work environment. You will work around painting and finishing operations, including paint prep, sanding, powder coating, blasting, sandblasting, and paint booths. The position is on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work involves regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, use of hand and power tools, and standing, walking, and moving parts throughout the shift in an active production area.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
