In this pivotal role, you will offer expert technical and scientific oversight across all testing specialties within our laboratory. You will serve as the vital link between administration, laboratory staff, the sales force, vendors, our consulting team, and corporate leaders. If you're ready to make a significant impact in the world of clinical laboratory services, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:                                                                        <ul><li>Responsible/oversight of customers account with respect to all state, local, and federal regulatory agencies</li><li>Ensure laboratory records for customer as well as documentation for laboratory operation are current within the project management software</li><li>Assess customer opportunities that enable the customer to advance quality testing of patient care</li><li>Stay current with advancements in laboratory technology as well as any changed to regulatory and compliance standards that includes but is not limited to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) updates</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Minimum Requirements: <ul><li>4+ years of relevant experience</li><li>Valid drivers license and clear driving record</li></ul>Required Education: Qualified candidates should have one of the following from an accredited institution:<ul><li>Doctoral or Master's degree in a laboratory science</li><li>Bachelor's or Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology</li></ul>​Required: Certifications/Licensure<ul><li>ASCP or equivalent certification</li></ul>​One or more of the following by the state where the laboratory is located (when applicable)<ul><li>Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)</li><li>Medical Technologist (MT)</li><li>Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)</li><li>Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)</li></ul>Critical Skills / Work History:<ul><li>4+ years of relevant clinical laboratory experience.  The training or experience requirements may be acquired concurrently for more than one specialty</li><li>Technical laboratory and laboratory consulting experience</li><li>Expertise in CLIA and CMS (federal) regulatory guidelines</li><li>Knowledge and comprehension of state specific regulatory standards and accreditation organization standards to include COLA, CAP and Joint Commission</li><li>Experience setting up new/supporting existing clinical laboratories</li><li>Experience working in a virtual environment including engagement with customers</li><li>Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Management in a laboratory setting</li><li>Strong competency with MS Office suite of products</li></ul>Additional Knowledge/Skills:<ul><li>Experience as a laboratory supervisor, manager, or technical consultant desired</li><li>Project Management certifications are valued regarded</li><li>Lean, Six Sigma certification is a value</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Work from home office environment</li><li>Up to 70% travel expectation</li></ul>Physical Requirements: <div><ul><li>Large percent of time performing computer-based work and on-site communication with customers during travel</li></ul></div>We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
