Field Services Representative II

The Position Advance your career as an Associate Civil/Mechanical Engineer with an industry-leading water and wastewater utility. Reporting to a Senior Civil Engineer, the Associate Civil/Mechanical Engineer is the registered professional engineer level position in the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) engineering career advancement. The current opening is in the Pipeline Infrastructure Division's (PID's) Pipeline Design Section. This recruitment may also be used to fill additional openings in PID. Associate Civil/Mechanical Engineers in PID work with a team of pipeline designers, engineers, and other workgroups across EBMUD to complete pipeline designs for new and replacement pipelines to be installed by EBMUD crews or by contractors. PID is responsible for managing and implementing pipeline design projects for the installation, renewal and upgrade of EBMUD's 4,200 miles of distribution and transmission pipelines. This Associate Civil/Mechanical Engineer in the Pipeline Design Section will be responsible for managing reimbursable pipeline relocation projects, which will include conducting reviews of improvement plans to identify conflicts with EBMUD infrastructure, developing project scopes and cost estimates, and managing pipeline design projects. Senior Human Resources Analyst (Recruitment & Classification)

The Position Highly skilled professionals with experience in manual machine tool operation are invited to apply for East Bay Municipal Utility District's (EBMUD's) Maintenance Machinist position. Maintenance Machinists work both in the shop and field performing highly skilled mechanical maintenance, manual machining, repair fabrication, and installation work on a variety of industrial plant equipment such as pumps, electric motors, valves, plumbing systems, and related mechanical equipment. The work requires considerable independent judgment. The primary responsibilities will be manual machining unique replacement parts, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of pumps, pressure regulators, water isolation valves, and all other mechanical equipment located in the pumping plants and other facilities. The position also supports construction projects through shop fabrication and field installation of distribution water system and building components. NOTE: EBMUD's Maintenance Machinists are not comparable to CNC Machine Operator or Production Machinist positions with most firms. Ideal candidates are skilled, journey-level Manual Machinists with shop and field experience.
