Forging Operator

A Day In The Life Operator will be required to drive a forklift, operate a crane and other equipment as required to provide the support help needed to run their department in the most efficient and economical manner. Will be required to, but not limited to, transporting, storing, retrieving, identifying, sorting, stacking, auditing, locating parts and supplies, setting up jobs, making adjustments to machines and equipment, and making pick-ups and deliveries for other departments. Job Overview The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler organizes, plans, and schedules all maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, corrective) within SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), ensuring technicians have parts/tools/materials for efficient execution, minimizing downtime, and balancing production needs with asset reliability for presses, hot box operations, FRP manufacturing, assembly lines, and polymer concrete equipment. Acts as a key liaison between Maintenance, Operations, and Procurement. #LI-AO1 A Day In The Life Work Order Management: Review, prioritize, and detail work requests in SAP, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and proper scope. Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed job plans with step-by-step instructions, required tools, safety measures, and estimated time, scheduling work one or more weeks in advance. Resource Coordination: Partner with Procurement to ensure all necessary spare parts and materials are available before work begins. Liaison and Communication: Serve as the primary contact between Maintenance, Operations, and other departments to align schedules and address conflicts. System Expertise: Utilize SAP PM (and potentially other CMMS) for planning, tracking, reporting, and managing the maintenance backlog. Process Improvement: Analyze past work and feedback to refine job plans and improve maintenance procedures for greater efficiency. Asset Management: Load new/old equipment/functional locations into SAP and track equipment performance. What will help you thrive in this role? Strong understanding of SAP PM module. Job Overview The Maintenance Supervisor manages a team of maintenance employees with different disciplines. #LI-SL1 A Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:<ul> <li>Coordinating schedules and workflow for the team who repairs equipment and conducts preventative maintenance activities throughout the facility.</li> <li>Supervising day-to-day work of maintenance employees.</li> <li>Leading Maintenance personnel in reactive, predictive & preventative maintenance and machine repair.</li> <li>Managing vendor relationships for trash removal, grounds, power, janitorial, water/sewer, HVAC, and other related contracts as needed.</li> <li>Ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.</li> <li>Developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting on the performance of the maintenance department.</li> <li>Actively participating in lean and continuous improvement activities related to the facility including utilization of predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance methodologies.</li> <li>Managing inventory of spare parts, supplies and materials required for effective maintenance and improvement of the facility, equipment, and tooling.</li> <li>Participating in planning meetings, coordinating training, personnel, and equipment requirements.</li> </ul>What will help you thrive in this role?<ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree preferred.</li> <li>5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience required.</li> <li>5+ years of leadership experience preferred.</li> <li>Experience managing outside service contractors.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (Office programs, SAP CMMS).</li> </ul>Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
