Software Developer

Design, develop, and maintain internal backend software systems across various entities while supporting and evolving existing platforms, including CRM systems, enrollment systems, reporting tools, and core products. Contribute to development, testing, and decision-making processes, and build and maintain system integrations. Evaluate software tools for integration or replacement and collaborate closely with leadership to translate business workflows into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, testing, and decision-making for core systems, including preparation for Alpha testing.
• Build, maintain, and support system integrations between internal tools, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Evaluate existing software tools to determine what should be integrated, replaced, or custom-built.
• Collaborate closely with leadership and internal stakeholders to translate business workflows into technical solutions.
• Participate in architectural and software decisions with increasing ownership over time.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, fill knowledge gaps, and support new product initiatives.
• Support backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Document system architecture, workflows, and technical processes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues across multiple platforms.
• Assist in prioritizing development work based on business impact and urgency.
• Collaborate with external development partners across multiple active projects.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and automation.

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in backend software development (C# preferred).
• Experience with systems integration and architecture evaluation.
• Strong technical ownership and decision-making abilities.
• API and backend service development experience.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and applied AI.
• Product-minded problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Curiosity, learning agility, and a growth mindset.

• Exposure to prototypes moving toward commercial products is a plus.
• Experience with Raspberry Pi or embedded systems is nice to have.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and domains quickly.

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
