BESS Journeyman Electrician (Licensed)
Location: Fort Morgan, CO
Pay: $66.33/hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to support a long-term utility-scale BESS project in Fort Morgan, Colorado. This role involves installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for large-scale battery storage equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong commercial/industrial electrical experience and is comfortable working in fast-paced, outdoor construction environments while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test wiring and equipment for BESS systems
- Work on AC/DC systems including battery racks, inverters, switchgear, transformers, and disconnects
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-lines, and schematics
- Bend and install EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit
- Perform grounding and bonding per NEC and project standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during install and commissioning
- Assist with battery module installation and system integration
- Mentor and support apprentice electricians
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
- Follow all NEC, OSHA, and site safety requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician License (REQUIRED)
- 3–5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of the NEC (current edition)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- BESS, solar, or renewable energy experience
- Experience working on energized systems
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to work independently or lead small crews
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Morgan, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $66.00 - $66.00/hr.
