Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring components meet all internal quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This role conducts inspections and testing of incoming materials and finished goods, verifies manufacturing setups, and supports production activities to ensure consistent quality, safety, and compliance throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of incoming components and finished products to ensure compliance with technical specifications and material compliance.
- Perform product testing using various measuring tools and test devices (e.g., pressure, leak, or dimensional testing).
- Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and other required quality documentation when applicable.
- Coordinate with intercompany teams, internal departments, and vendors to investigate, document, and resolve customer and supplier complaints.
- Identify and report nonconforming products and assist with corrective actions.
- Monitor shop floor and maintain quality standards, provide real-time feedback, and support the production team.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
- Knowledge of measuring tools and inspection instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, routings, and engineering drawings specific to plumbing components.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and finishing.
- Familiarity with quality requirements and inspection practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to product accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑based production environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Quality Inspector or in a quality‑related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with plumbing fittings, valves, or metal/plastic components preferred.

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment on a great production floor, with a nice management team. The position is for the first shift only.
