Job Title: D-Shift Slitter Operator
Job Description
The Slitter Operator will be responsible for reading a bill of materials, performing machine set-ups, threading film into the machine, setting blades to the proper width, and programming the machine for length, speed, and tension. The operator will then take the product off the machine, stack it in containers, and send it to shipping.
Responsibilities
- Perform machine set-ups and changeovers
- Use precise measuring instruments such as calipers and durometers
- Conduct basic machine troubleshooting
- Adjust and program machines
- Conduct quality control and inspections
- Utilize HMI screens
- Thread film in the machine
- Set blades to the proper width
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with calipers and quality control
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read diagrams
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, or twist for troubleshooting
- Comfortable using a touch screen computer
- Great attendance and reliability
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous conversion machine experience is a plus
- Automotive experience or any prior work experience requiring mechanical aptitude
- Great attitude and effort

Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
