Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This maintenance mechanic role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems. The technician will follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and measuring and testing instruments.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect and test machinery or equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Listen for unusual sounds from machinery or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with managers to diagnose problems or repair equipment.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand or power tools.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of the machinery.
- Repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repair and maintain physical structures.
- Install new equipment and machinery according to blueprints and specifications.
- Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment using programmable controllers.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricate and repair benches, partitions, or other wooden structures.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout the manufacturing facility and utilize PM software for updating data.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with CNC machining.
- Preventive maintenance skills.
- Repair skills for CNC machines.
- Experience in maintenance repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Light electrical experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CNC experience preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a very organized facility that is not too large. The position offers flexible hours with shifts generally from 8pm to 6am, but can start earlier, accommodating a 2nd shift if needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Marshall, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $54080.00/yr.
Pay for Skills program. This program gives employees the opportunity to complete courses and increase their hourly wage. Course work needs to be done on the employee’s own time and after a Home Competency is completed, there are 5 more courses employees can complete, getting a $.50 increase upon completion of each course outside of the Home Competency. All benefits but 401k are effective on the start date, and he will be eligible to participate in the 401k plan on the first month proceeding. I attached our Benefit Summary/Rates in case he wants to review.
