Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians while supporting the maintenance and repair of office, retail, and industrial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on office, retail, and industrial buildings under supervision.
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC components, as appropriate to skill level.
- Participate in a rotating schedule to provide 24/7 emergency building support once training and onboarding are complete.
- Use basic hand tools and specialized tools safely and correctly for maintenance and repair tasks.
Essential Skills
- At least 1+ years of maintenance experience, or equivalent hands-on exposure in a related setting.
- Basic experience or familiarity with building maintenance disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical repair.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and learn to use specialized tools safely and effectively.
- Reliability and strong work ethic, including the ability to respond to maintenance requests and support a rotating emergency schedule.
